Alpine Slide!
Our first day in PA was a great one. I had never been to 7 Springs before so we decided to grab breakfast at Denny’s and head out that way. 7 Springs is a resort near a natural spring which is known for its skiing as well as summertime activities. Once we got there we headed straight to the Alpine Slide which is a slide made out of fiberglass / concrete mix in which you sit on a sled that you control the speed of as you go down the track. It was great!!! Since Alisha is pregnant she was not able to ride, so she was our photographer as her mom and I rode down. You take the ski lift to the top of the mountain grab your sled and slide down through the twisty track. The sled has a stick that you push forward to go faster, hold in the middle to slide, or pull back to slow down. It was really cool!!
This video looks like crap because it is so compressed and looks like I am going slow… I assure you that you can go pretty darn fast.
After going down 3 times we headed over to the rest of the resort. We saw the shopping, ski slopes, swimming pool, arcade room, and other cool areas of the resort before driving up to see the housing on top of the ski slopes. 7 Springs was awesome. I really enjoyed it out there!
STUPID Line Painters
On our way back to Greensburg we got stuck for MILES behind a stupid truck that was painting the white line… we went like 15 miles an hour forever!!! We got a little annoyed so we made our mark by running through the line and dragging the fresh paint into the lane LOL. Shortly after getting away from those darn trucks, we stopped and picked up corn fresh from the side of the road and continued on to Alisha’s grandparent’s house to have dinner and spend the evening with them. As always it was great to see them. We cooked steak, corn, and ham loaf and enjoyed every bit of it! After dinner we headed to Denae’s other grandparents to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Denae now lives in Florida with her fiance Mike and was up this weekend to meet up with some of her bridesmaids to pick out their dresses.
