Our Evening Out at the Brick Store
Don’t forget to check out our photo gallery for pictures of our time at the Brick Store at pictures.neilnatic.com or here.
I had heard about a bar that was in Decatur GA called The Brick Store when I was in South Carolina for Hector’s wedding and had been dying to try it out. I called up a bunch of our friends and family the weekend before Thanksgiving and got Dan, Bobby, Jen, Ash and Kev to come out and check it out with me.
We drove down to Decatur, which was an event on its own as we were all a little lost, and met in a parking lot before walking over to the Brick Store. Once we got there we quickly found out it was PACKED!!!!! We asked how long the wait was – 2 and a half HOURS! It was insane! Everyone was a little bumbed out as we were really looking forward to checking this place out. The only thing we could do for that time was head down to a Taco Mac which was a little bit up the street. We walked out that way and once we got there we were told that there was a 20 minute wait. Yeah right! We were there for almost an hour. The bar service was TERRIBLE. The employees were all huffy and puffy. This far in the night was a total failure. We finally got to sit down and all of us ordered a drink before heading back over to the brick store to see how we were doing on the list.
As soon as we walked in the lady thought we were someone else and sat us. The place was awesome! It was a nice artsy decorated, small restaraunt / bar with an excellent beer selection, food and very surpringly cheap prices. The food was excellent! The beer was as well! They had a typical bar downstairs and a Belgian bar upstairs. We all enjoyed it there and were glad that we made it out there. Next time I will go for lunch or something to avoid the crowds but it was a great time!
We did not get many pictures but check out the gallery for pictures of us and Kev dancing as I took the pictures
