Phew – Rough Night and Preston’s First Dr’s Appointment
Wow… last night was tough! Preston slept and was a total cutie all day. He was sooo good. He ate, slept, and of course dirtied his fair share of diapers LOL. As we got ready for bed, he changed into a totally different baby – one that does not sleep and cries all night. He was quite irritable. He did his fair share of eating, but he was not a happy boy. We finally got to bed at about 5:00 this morning and had to be up not long after for his first Dr. appointment.
We woke up and scurried to get ready, feed him, and get him dressed in time to make it there. Our Dr. is SOOO sweet and we really like her! She is with Cumming Pediatric Group and her name is Dr. Khan. They are right at the Northside Forsyth Campus which is perfect for us.

It is crazy that we are getting all of these first done already…. what next? He will be walking?!

I am so sorry you had a tough night, it sounds like he maybe sleeping too much during the day, crasy I know. But he may have his days and nights mixed up, Caleb did as well. You figure when he was in Alishas tummy she would rock him to sleep during the day but moving around and he would be up at night when she was still. I used to have to wipe Caleb with a damp cool cloth during the day to wake him up, just every now and then, they do still neeed to sleep during the day! But it worked and he was sleeping 8 hours in no time. I have heard great things about Cumming Ped group, ask your doctor about it. He is a beautiful baby and I couldn’t be happier for ya’ll. He is one lucky baby to have such wonderful parents! I hope to see you soon, I wanted to be sure you had enough time to get adjusted and see family, etc & witht the holidays I am sure it is crasy. I hope to see you very soon!
We LOVE Dr. Khan, too! Both Dr. Khan and Dr. Carter are great, but Dr. Khan just goes the distance. Dr. Carter knows his stuff, no doubt, he’s just been doing this forever and has very direct answers and gets the job done. Dr. Khan is so patient and really listens!
Preston is so HANDSOME! We’ve got goodies for him, but there’s been quite a few cars around your house (especially since it’s Christmas) and we don’t want to barge in on your visit with family, but know that we can’t wait to meet him and see you all!
